The candidates with research experience in one or more areas of chemistry, nanomaterials, and/or electrocatalysis will be preferred. English Proficiency requirement: Applicants from an institution where the language of teaching is not English should satisfy the minimum English proficiency requirements specified by the University. The University’s minimum English proficiency requirement for research degree programmes is a total score of 550 (paper-based test); or 79 (internet-based test); or 59 (revised paper-delivered test; sum of Reading, Listening and Writing section scores) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) OR an overall band score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)~. TOEFL and IELTS scores are considered valid for two years from the test date and must be valid at the time of submission of application. Note: TOEFL iBT Home Edition and IELTS Indicator are not accepted.
The appointee will mainly conduct research projects related to CO2 electrochemical conversion. The appointee is expected to publish first authored papers in high-impact journal and cultivate their mentoring skills by devoting a little part of their time to mentor graduate students.
Candidates have the background in electrocatalysis and/or CO2 electroreduction. The candidates should have at least 2 first-author papers in SCI-indexed journals. Ph.D. degree or close to receiving Ph.D. degree is required for postdoctoral fellow. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate strong motivation, critical thinking ability, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
